A Note About Stones
Some gemstones are much more fragile than others. Care is important to longevity, so get to know yours.
Certain natural gemstones - including but not limited to pearl, opal, shell (abalone/mother of pearl/Paua, etc.), amber, emerald, iolite, tanzanite, turquoise, lapis, coral, pyrite, marcasite, and malachite - exhibit fragility and/or may react adversely to water and humidity.
It is important to acknowledge the inherent risks associated with the use of autoclaves, steamers, and ultrasonic cleaners, as well as daily wear in certain climates or while showering, swimming, etc. We caution against exposing delicate gems to such treatments, as damage, discoloration, or other adverse effects may occur.
Continued issues with a particular piece may necessitate alternative stone selection or incur additional fees if you send these pieces back for repairs.
